When you upload work at ORTVI, you are joining a professional community of makers and viewers from all over the world. To help ORTVI foster a welcoming environment, you must adhere to the following practices:

1- You may only upload content of which you are the author, and/or which you have the legal right to use and distribute.

2- You must sign the License Agreement for every work you upload.

3- Be sure to rate your content appropriately. It is important to keep viewers informed about what they will see.

4- You may not upload any work that is hateful, abusive, defamatory, libelous, derogatory, violent, harassing, or bigoted, or any work that violates any person’s privacy includes discriminatory or defamatory speech, gives rise to civil or criminal liability, or otherwise violates any applicable law.

5- This content restriction includes but is not limited to violent and/or graphic content, harmful or dangerous content, fraudulent content, spam, misleading metadata, and scams.

6- You may not upload work that promotes violent activities, real-life violence, self-harm, or cruelty toward people or animals.

7- You may not upload work that promotes or shows child exploitation of any kind.

8- You may not upload work that discloses confidential information.

9- You may not upload work that infringes any copyright, trademark, or patent violates any right of privacy or right of publicity or constitutes misappropriation of a trade secret.

10- You may not upload defamatory work of any kind.

11- You may not use the site to drive traffic to your own or any other website.

12- You may not post, link to, upload, or transmit software or other materials that contain viruses, worms, time bombs, Trojan horses, malware, spyware, or any other harmful, disruptive, or malicious components.

13- You may not upload work that intentionally makes false or misleading statements.

14- You may not upload any content which functions as an advertisement for or from any company or any third party.

15- You may not reproduce, record, print or use any other artists' work that is part of ORTVI. 

16- Freedom of expression is our mantra, but we do not support content that promotes or condones violence against individuals or groups based on race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age, nationality, veteran status, or sexual orientation/gender identity, or whose primary purpose is to incite hatred on the basis of these core characteristics.

We are collectively building an expanded cultural and social support system to promote a viewership economy for production and distribution of artists’ content. We are advocating for common-sense rules that cultivate trust and mutual respect.
